Visiting Japan? 2011 is the YEAR!
So clearly visiting Japan someday is definitely on my to do list, unfortunately that dream is still in the somewhat distant future.. I did however stumble upon some interesting news that made me a little happy so I thought I would share! Its having to do with the Japanese YEN!
Being an American lately means we have slowly but surely watched our currency, the dollar, fall continuously against numerous other currencies... (think of that horrid British Pound! lol jk) This is about to change...slightly.. lol. According to Bloomberg BusinessWeek the Yen is expected to fall 10% this year against the US dollar!!
Okay so its not a ton but its a start... that exchange rate isn't about to be so brutal when buying those pricey Japanese fashion magazines we all love....

OPI Katy Perry
So awhile ago I heard about this new nail polish that OPI **my favorite brand of polish** was going to put out under its "Katy Perry" collection... basically it is a black top coat that creates a pretty unique look.

Book Want :: Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother
This book has been talked about quite a bit in the press lately and I must admit that this book has my interest. Basically the book's author Amy Chua recounts her years as a mother to her two daughters with a strict and somewhat harsh Chinese discipline. In several interviews she has admitted that she was really harsh in her disciplines with the girls (like no sleep overs, etc) but also that in turn her daughters are in fact successful. Seems like an interesting read.
