Who is Kyary Pamyu Pamyu?

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu x Spinns Harajuku

The other day TokyoFashion.com posted this image to their flicker account and I thought it was a really neat ad, and I wanted to know more about the girl in the ad, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.

She started out as a highschool fashion blogger whose popularity grew rapidly mostly due to her "strange face." However gone are the days of just blogging, she also has a line of beauty products, models, has a debut mini album coming out on August 17,and just released this music video.

Its kind of amazing how popular she has become... She is sort of the current "It" girl of Japan. After looking her ads and pictures online, you can't help but like her.  I even want to try some of her false lashes! With her album coming out next week I am sure we'll be hearing much more from her in the future..

I tried to find her blog or official site but couldn't.  Do any of you know it?

Still More Kawaii IPhone Apps

Its about that time again! Here are a few of my recent downloads that I wanted to share! You can see my other posts about Kawaii IPhone apps by clicking here and here...

First up

$.99

Okay so I didn't download this app but if this isn't kawaii I don't know what is.  They managed to take something totally gross and make it kinda cute. Lol. Anyways I thought I would still share it.

$1.99

So cute right? Basically all you have to do is decorate cupcakes. You can post your creations to Facebook or Twitter and for each on you do you earn points which unlock more cute ingredients...

$.99

I actually use this app a lot. Whether posting on Facebook for someone's birthday or sending a text to my husband I like this app. It can make a simple text message that much girlie and cute.  The best part is most people wouldn't even think that you got these cute pictures from an IPhone app!
That's it for now... till next time!

Artist :: Juuri

The other day on twitter JapanCinema tweeted a link about an artist name Juuri...
[you can see the link I am referring to here]
I was interested to see what kind of artist she was, so I clicked on the link to check out her work and wow -- I am so glad I did!

From the first piece I saw of hers I was instantly in love.  She uses so many vibrant colors and her pieces are so feminine and intimate...Its almost hard to explain, her works are just so appealing...

I can just imagine how stunning one of her pieces might look in a sleek, modern bedroom..
makes me want one!

She has a variety of sites and you should check them all out!

**I do not own the rights to any of these images, all are from Juuri's Website

Japanese Studies

So shortly after I started this blog I decided I would try to learn Japanese, anyways a lot has happened in my life since then (we've moved, and had another baby!) and that goal has somewhat fallen by the wayside...however now that fall is approaching soon and everyone is getting back into their routine I want to achieve that goal. Before I started slacking I was able to master Hiragana, and started studying Katakana.

So to jump start my studying I ordered Let's Learn Hiragana from Amazon since I have already forgotten a few hiragana and was never able to write them very well.

I must admit though my language studies faltered, I have learned so much about Japan and about Japanese culture.  I am thankful for all I have learned and the new friends I have made. Thank you all my blog friends and readers. You all have allowed me to learn something new everyday!
