Hottest Apps from Around the World

Have you ever wondered what the top selling/hottest apps are in another country other than your own? You could always change you country in the App Store but that can be somewhat frustrating and hard to navigate if you don't know the language...not to worry! I have found a solution for you!

I just recently discovered AppAnnie and I can't get enough! Once you're at their homepage simply click on the "Store Stats" button on the menu bar, which will then lead you a grid of the top paying, top free, and top grossing apps.

Everything on the grid is pretty easy to read. It gives the app's rank, whether or not its a paid app or not (denoted by the $) and whether or not the app has risen or fallen in ranking.  Now the fun part....picking a country!
Don't see the country you're looking for? Just click "more stores!"
If there's an App store... AppAnnie has it
Using this site I have found some pretty cool photo apps from South Korea.. So go explore what's hot from all over the world! I found this site helpful and hopefully you can too.

Dragon*Con & Lots of Pics

It wouldn't be a Con without those Stormtroopers!
So me and husband were able to attend our first Con this year!!! Dragon*Con!! Since it was  our first time attending a Con we decided only to go for a day to see if it was for us. Now all I can really say is "I can't wait till next year!!"

Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service
Drocell Keinz - the amazing thing about this cosplay was that the music actually worked! She made it herself!!
Bulma & Goku
Dragon*Con was on Labor Day Weekend, and since we wanted to make the most out of our time there we decided to go on Saturday.  Looking at the different fan tracks online it looked like that day there would be a lot of main events happening, like the parade. (We didn't have the greatest seats for the parade as you can see, but we managed to least see the parade!)

Robocop!
Speedracer
Chewbacca
We arrived in Atlanta about 8:00, and were able to find a great parking spot in a garage right by the Sheraton :::thanks to a tip from a fellow Dragon*Con attender on twitter::::  Though the line for registration wrapped around the hotel it only took us about an hour to our badges and be on our way!
Ghostbusters! (the one on the right is the steampunk version)
Tifa & Aeris! (I'm a major FFVII fan)
Hagrid & Snape
Thor
All in all we had a great day.  We saw so many different comic book, and anime characters as well as some pretty awesome vendors and artists. Because the Con is located in so many different hotels, though relatively close to each other, it is easy to see why you would want to attend for more than just one day.  Luckily we were able to get into the things we wanted to see, such as the Parade, Cosplay Costume Contest, and Comic Book Babe Contest.

While waiting for the Comic Book Babe contest, a lovely steampunk couple!
The Comic Book Babe contest was probably my favorite and you would not even begin to believe how long that line was.  Not only did it weave throughout the hotel, by the time we got in line we were outside around the building.  We almost decided to give up considering how long it was but we decided to stick it out and lucky for us, despite the line being that long our seats were still close to the front!!!  Unfortunately I don't have any pictures from it because frankly I was so wore at this point. =(

Voltaire, who was BEYOND hilarious, was the best part of the contest and I think he was the only thing keeping me awake at this point.

We decided to duck out of the contest early (there were over 70 contestants! least that's where they were at when we left), and I managed to make it to the car before I fell quickly asleep in car.  I am soooo thankfu tol my husband is such a good sport when taking me to things like this and he didn't complain once! He even admitted he had a good time and now wants to dress up next year!!!

Its was surely a fun day =)

....more pictures!

the Predator (thats what my husband said it was, I didn't know)
the Joker
um. a dragon?
Psylocke
AND THE BEST TWO COSPLAYS!!

BENDER

SONYA BLADE & SCORPION

Currently Watching :: City Hunter

Lately I have been watching the Korean drama City Hunter... I love it. Its the first Korean drama that I have watched that wasn't solely a romance/comedy (they are my weak spot!).  City Hunter is about this guy, Lee Yoon Sung, who is out to take revenge upon the men who wronged his father by plotting to destroy them and bring justice to the Korean people.  Even though I was a little hesitant at first about watching but in the end I am glad I took a chance.  My main reason for watching I must admit, other than the fact that it is getting rave reviews, is because of Lee Min Ho.... ::sigh::

too cute right?!

You can watch this entire drama online @ http://www.viki.com/ ::: so check it out! Not to worry though, I will definitely be writing a review about this drama.

New Header!

Notice anything different?!....

Yupp! You guessed it! I've gotten a new blog header and I must say I absolutely love it! Thanks to Lorina @AprilFoolRomance my blog is looking a lot brighter and definitely cuter!  About a month ago I approached Lorina about maybe doing a blog header for me, and in the end I am so glad I did.  I like having my blog rather simple so having a bright, fun header is exactly what I needed..

Thanks again Lorina! Its too cute!! =]

KDrama

When it comes to watching movies, me and my husband mostly watch whatever is on Netflix.  Its actually my brother's account but since we have a Wii we use his watch instantly account.  There's not always the greatest selection on there so often times I find myself watching things I wouldn't normally pick up at the rental store.

So the other day I saw Playful Kiss as recommend for me, so I decided to watch. (The sorta ironic thing about it was, almost a year ago when I did a post on Dorama, I actually used to Playful Kiss banner in my post!)

The first several minutes of the show was super corny in my opinion, and I wasn't sure if I was into watching a show where I had to keep reading subtitles.  Regardless I stuck it out through the first episode and by the end of that first show I was hooked!  The colors where really bright and the storyline was fun and in the end it was a good find.

I'll probably still do a post reviewing the actually the show but I just wanted to take a moment to share what a good find this was.  I have now watched several other Korean dramas and I must say that I am officially a fan.  Its interesting to see television from another country but I think any girl or even guy can appreciate a good show with good/attractive actors & actresses no matter where its from.
